Typically known as The Spring Festival in China, Chinese New Year is a Chinese festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. A special Chinese New Year Party will be hosted at Lao Sze Chuan on Michigan Avenue.
We will offer a 12-course Chinese New Year lunch and dinner through February 10th. The menu will feature a distinctively festive flavor with traditional Chinese sweets, as well as a special cocktail inspired by the Year of the Pig. Entrees include Famous Oven Roasted Peking Duck, Chef’s Special Dry Chili Chicken, Braised Pork Shank, Happy Family Seafood Platter, and more. Also, you will have the chance to make some handmade dumplings. All ingredients will be provided for you.
Additionally, a traditional lion dance will take place amid a joyful atmosphere, while loud drumbeats and strong cymbals crash.
